As I think you discovered, AS 1/2 and 3 are incompatible, the only common ground as I understand it being the implementation of LocalConnection; the reason why many try to use that to implement communication between the three types. What it boils down to really though, is that in his/her eagerness the flip forgot to be lenient! ;o) ( gets on soap box ).. On a side note, am I really the only one who finds these page-flip engines, clever as they may sometimes be, irritating, annoying, and distracting? When comes the day ( as it surely must ), that we can 'hold' in our hands a virtual holographic book, one that can be given the look and feel of a proper book, with ( iof wanted ) a realistic page turn option, then and only then might I just use it. Till then, save the mock 3D effects people. It ain't cool, it's just silly. ;o) BTW, same goes for all those sales gimmicky 'flick' effects on PDAs and other mobile devices. ( gets off soap box )..
