** Short version:
Does anybody know of a DOS only JVM that supports Swing (through BGI or
VESA
instead of the OS's graphics routines).

** Long version:
You're probably wondering why I want something weird like that. Just as a
side hobby
I have been looking at home automation stuff for quite awhile. Well, the
wall
mounted interfaces for sale are usually expensive, not very adaptable, and
very
low resolution.

My thought is to just grab a PC104 board, slap on a ready-made LCD module,
and
viola! Full, customizabe interface for a couple hundred dollars! And the
wonderful part
is that most PC104's have LOM Ethernet, so I just plug and go.

Now all I need is a quick, easy, small, network-capable programming
language
with a GUI API. That's why I'm looking for a "DOS only JVM that supports
Swing".

** Any help would be appreciated!
