A Fritz!Box, connected to a UPC/Cablecom line, that is connected in turn to FreeSWITCH works too ;) That combo (can swap out UPC with Swisscom) gives you both voice and SMS inbound+outbound, no tricks. A lot of people would find it weird to see a SMS from a hardline number though.
