Apparently Cablecom still hasn't resolved the problem. They are at least
still listed in spamcop.net.
Probably they can't anything do. It can be a virus which sended a mail to a spam trap.
What do other ISPs who use RBLs such as spamcop.net do in such cases?
I do whitelist the mailrelay from this provider.
The last days i made a lot of abuse complaints to provider because of the netsky virii.
And for the moment i'm blocking all dialup networks from swiss providers if possible. Some are ease and some are worst.
Easy is:
If there exist a PTR.
The PTR is in the form of dialupip.dial.provider.ch, dialupip.dynamic.provider.ch, dialupip.adsl.provider.ch
Some provider make differents between dynamic and static ranges which make me very happy. But some do different adsl ranges in the same subdomain.
Worst is: No PTR. For every request i have to check the ripe database No Abuse contact address in the ripe database definitions in the PTR adsl.dialupnet.provider.ch
The only chance on this is the block all connects from with this domain and whitelist the official MTAs if visible.
I've got the problem with Netksy Virii on my office and also on the cevinet.ch server. To our customer we have many time to explain how the the problem is.
I know security is an enduser problem. But the traffic from this virii wich installs also backdoors is not nothing.
By the way. Thanks to Daniele Ladu from sunrise. He is reacting fast for me.
For example i had yesterday at the office over 800 blocked mail sessions from the subnet cust.bluewin.ch and on the other mailserver since 0'clock today around 800 sessions. This is not normal.
And yes i sent to bluewin the hole list from both servers. But i haven't the time to check all different IPs from every connection.
