Hi,

sorry if it was unclear--I've mainly played with multicast in
'closed' (i.e. corporate network) environments.

I recall that there was some discussion a while ago about
some Swiss ISPs carrying multicast video traffic for an event
(FIFA 2002?) and was curious as to whether there are any plans to
let end-customers go about receiving BBC traffic now that it's
available.

Cheers,

-John

If anyone is interested, the CIXP has a dedicated infrastructure for multicast traffic exchange (at no charge for CIXP members); some ISPs are alredy connected since a few months.

Besides all that I may not have understood your question
fully.

I agree: perhaps I also misunderstood the initial question. Apologies if my answer was off topic. Paolo _______________________________________________ swinog mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.init7.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/swinog
