Maybe a President Trump, who arguably has more
direct experience in broadcast media than any
previous U.S. President (Ronald Reagan not
withstanding), will appoint an International
Broadcasting CEO to develop a media network
similar to RT (Russia Today) to play catch-up
with his pal Putin. RT has been a very successful propaganda outlet.
I can envision a President Trump wanting to be a
regular face on such international
broadcasts. He's very media-savvy and loves the spotlight.
Maybe Dan Robinson or Kim Elliott would be
interested in doing an SWLfest talk talk about
U.S. state media in a Trump administration. (If they'd dare ;-)

I've long thought the BBG lost its way with
multiple "voices" and administrative units. From
my external view of government efficiency ⺠I
always thought one voice (the VOA) could better
serve the world in a coordinated, cohesive
fashion. If this change comes to pass, perhaps sanity will prevail.
