Indeed, it would be interesting to see a
side-by-side performance comparison of the Icom IC-R8600 and the IC-R9500.
I'll ask Matt Blaze if he'd be willing to bring
his IC-R9500 back to next year's SWLfest (I transported it there for him.)

I am looking forward to the Fest, now under 15 weeks away!
I am planning once again on helping Dan Robinson
with The Listening Lounge. I am sure Dan will
setup some interesting radios for your listening pleasure.
Besides the usual loop antenna and bits, I plan
on bringing a recent radio purchase, an Icom
IC-R8600. It is a SDR based radio with more
traditional controls and very good HF
performance. I am interested in comparing it to
the much more expensive Icom IC-R9500 that has
graced our modest listening post in past years.
