Now that I'm 70 - and, I became a dedicated DXer at around age 22 - I've become accustomed to losing friends at all points of interest in my life.
The key is - enjoy every phase of life while you're in it. As Warren Zevon said when he knew his passing was imminent = "Enjoy Every Sandwich". Maybe I'll make it to Kulpsville next year. Another sandwich to be enjoyed.
