My motto is "bring the wife once" ... ... they usually don't want to go a second time
....... and you get to go alone every single year after that. Harmless fun! My family started calling it the "Winter NERD Fest" the year I came home with a new Gilfer-modified NRD-535 and matching key ring. My wife said, "look kids, they built a commemorative "NERD 535" radio. She will never forget or forgive me for leaving her in the hospitality room for 45 minutes with various festers in different stages of inebriation.
