Any quarrels we've had with recent BBCWS management decisions arise
directly out of concern over the preservation of this unique legacy
for the future. In some cases, it has appeared to some of us that
today's World Service caretakers take too little notice of that
august history in their planning and policy. It's good to see that
this anniversary and the things that make it so special are being
celebrated. To the extent we can, we should all take part.
