Skybus uses Portsmouth, NH but does not have a direct flight to Wilmington, DE from there. There seems to be a trend where airports try to link up with a major city miles away. Portsmouth is the former Pease AFB, now Pease Tradeport. It is around an hour to drive from Portsmouth to Boston and I suspect the same for the Wilmington to Philly travel time. I was overnighted in a hotel at Chicago once on the way back from Dayton when the plane did not work. I actually prefer flying into Gatwick instead of Heathrow mainly due to the direct rail link to Guildford, Surrey. Otherwise it was go into London and then out to Guildford via Woking or take a RailAir bus to Woking if the flight arrival was during running times. Woking... This is Woking. I was thinking of trying rail this year for travel to the fest but I tend to bring too many toys, I mean equipment, with me so it will likely be by car. I recently bought a Eee PC which is a neat UMPC that I am going to use for radio stuff. It runs Xandros but I also got Windows XP and openSuSE on it. So I will likely bring it for doing some radio stuff. 73 Eric _______________________________________________ Swlfest mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/swlfest To unsubscribe: Send an E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED], or visit the URL shown above.
