Just returned from my annual two-week working visit to DC, and used my HD 
radio for WAMU's two alternate channels.    Their HD2 channel is 24-hr. 
bluegrass 
and related music, but one could receive the same on their 
bluegrasscountry.org stream.   Their HD3 channel has some nice alternative 
music shows, like one 
of Mary Cliff's folk shows, Afro-Pop, and World Cafe Live.   Reception was 
fine (at Rosslyn, VA) from first floor hotel room not facing outside, even with 
only 6-inch wire hooked to antenna post.

Yes, here in Philly I find it handy to have some more BBCWS mornings on 
WHYY-HD2, and to catch "Fresh Air" at an earlier time than the regular FM 
airing.
