The bottomline is that we need to take in account the various language
systems that do exist but in such a way that one is not forced to use
systm that one does not need.


Sure. and people are welcome to stay with their printed Bible. They are also welcome to stay with the current online Bible system on many site, such as www.biblegateway.com . Online Bible is accessable to these people regardless we work on this SWORD project or not. It is a powerful Bible study tool which is missing.


So one should not be forced to use _javascript_ to read a simple text
version.


100% agree with this statement. Use www.biblegateway.com to do so.


Things like _javascript_ should be options one could do without if


you accept the practical limits it will provide you with.
