That is correct - the library and the utilities make OK. The problem comes when trying to compile the commandline examples. The first of these in the ./config generated makefile is lookup.cpp, and this fails with the error mentioned. I don't think it's a Windows specific problem. Let me know what happens under Cygwin if you get time to try it.
