> Newly added support (in engine) to look for books in ../library/ to > support the proposed layout: Program Files\CrossWire\library\
In the long term, this will be very helpful, and is much appreciated. However, for benefits in the short to moderate time frame, please consider: Could swordlib's SWMgr::findConfig be revised to ** also ** look for modules in: ../The SWORD Project A typical scenario: An earlier version of Windows sword.exe was installed at: C:\Program Files\CrossWire\The SWORD Project\sword.exe and modules are installed at: C:\Program Files\CrossWire\The SWORD Project\mods.d C:\Program Files\CrossWire\The SWORD Project\modules Now suppose another CrossWire front-end is installed at: C:\Program Files\CrossWire\NewFrontEnd\NewApp.exe This seems like a very typical situation, since for many years, modules have by default been installed as subdirectories of the installation directory for sword.exe (see scenario above) Thus, it doesn't really help NewApp.exe to have the sword engine look in ../library .... it is as (or more) applicable to have it look in: ../The SWORD Project Thanks _______________________________________________ sword-devel mailing list: [email protected] http://www.crosswire.org/mailman/listinfo/sword-devel Instructions to unsubscribe/change your settings at above page
