However, when I tried it using FMT_HTMLHREF in my own script, it outputted the following text for Genesis 3:1 (Footnotes turned on)
'Now<a href="">age=Genesis+3%3A1"><small>*n</small></a> the serpent<a href=""

This displays as the following
1 Now*n the serpent*n was more shrewd *n
than any of the wild animals*n that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Is it really true that*n God*n LORD God] because there is no covenant relationship involved between God and the serpent. He only speaks of "God." In the process the serpent draws the woman into his manner of speech so that she too only speaks of "God." said, 'You must not eat from any tree of the orchard'?"*n
Part of the footnote has been inserted into the text. (From LORD God] onwards). Is this a SWORD error, or am I doing something wrong?
Environment:
Windows XP
Sword 1.5.9 RC1
Python 2.4 (using SWIG bindings)
