Again some progress and some further problems
1) I found that there is a sun java5 package which installed problemfree on the
server
2) I recompiled + installed all java classes (the corba java bindings and
swordweb/src - both was fine. I needed to adjust the swordweb/src/Makefile, but
that was easy enough.
3) tomcat now tries to compile the jsp but fails miserably, presumably dt me
having placed something wrongly or some other source links requiring adjustments
