The updated files have more recent timestamps, but the described improvements appear to have not been implemented.
I've written to Michael already - this message is merely to alert other CrossWire developers so as to not waste their time before the matter is resolved. Of course, I could be mistaken. Maybe there is some internet caching problem that gets foiled by being different sides of the International Date Line? But if so, then that's a bigger problem than either of us can solve.
