I don't have access to a GUI machine with Cent installed at the moment. I haven't noticed an issue with the GTK3 build of Xiphos, but I only do a very cursory check of the builds.
There are both xiphos-gtk2 and xiphos-gtk3 builds in EPEL7 at the moment, and you should be able to install them side-by-side. This is at Karl's request, and is something I have to keep battling the other Xiphos packagers for in the Fedora/EPEL build system. Sometimes someone at RedHat goes on a rampage to destroy all GTK2 packages from places where upstream supports GTK3 and I have to then restore the dual build. --Greg --Greg On Mon, Jan 18, 2016 at 10:12 AM, Fred Smith <fre...@fcshome.stoneham.ma.us> wrote: > On Mon, Jan 18, 2016 at 10:05:52AM -0600, Greg Hellings wrote: >> Fred, >> >> Please tell me which parts of Xiphos are not provided in EPEL. >> >> yum info xiphos-gtk3 >> Loaded plugins: fastestmirror >> Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile >> * base: centos.arvixe.com >> * epel: fedora-epel.mirror.lstn.net >> * extras: dallas.tx.mirror.xygenhosting.com >> * updates: mirror.fusioncloud.co >> Available Packages >> Name : xiphos-gtk3 >> Arch : x86_64 >> Version : 4.0.3 >> Release : 1.el7 >> >> The specific quote you were asking about is addressing the iOS client, >> though. >> >> --Greg > > Hi Greg! > > I built my own because (at the time) EPEL did not provide Xiphos 4.x, > nor a compatible modern Sword library.
