Peter, David, et al,

Ok, I found the canon_*.h files in https://www.crosswire.org/svn/sword/trunk/include/

This is somewhat helpful. But it does not answer my questions.

(Btw the part about mapping the milestones and references to KJV is not really a big deal, because I already had the code to do it from a different project. In fact I can map them to any v11n that I need with that code. I agree that it is not an ideal solution, but I have been waiting for the newer versifications. At least I can proceed with my work, and go back and remap later with no hassle.)

I have read the wiki pages on alternate versifications and book abbreviations many times going over them with a fine-toothed comb. But they do not tell me how to correlate the osis xml with original texts that are laid out differently, particularly in the following cases:

1) What is the usage/syntax for Sirach prologue? The supposed "SirP" pseudo-book does not show up in the .h files, and I get errors in osis2mod v.2893 (Windows utilities v1.7.0-1).

2) It looks like catholic2 is closest to the French PDV bible that I am trying to build. However for Esther it shows 16 chapters, which corresponds more or less to Greek Esther, not regular Esther, but does not list both Esth and EsthGr. Furthermore, the verses-per-chapter for Esther do not correspond to anything I can deduce from the Greek Esther text. The added chapters in Greek Esther are given letters (A-F), and are interspersed throughout the text in an irregular manner. The PDV Greek Esther actually has 18 chapters if you count each of the separate runs of verses that are separated by chapter numbers/letters. Is there any place I can find out which verses are supposed to be in each of the 16 chapters? Or at least explain how I can figure it out? Ie. what text was this based on?

3) Where do I find the latest Windows utilities that support all the versifications? The latest I can find is 1.7.0-1 on the crosswire web site. I saw the reference to Greg Helling's site which is currently down. I am not really in a position to build the windows tools from scratch, nor is it desirable to do it from Linux, which would require setting up another workstation, and I don't really have time or room for that. Does anybody know if the Linux tools will run in the Windows 10 Subsystem for Linux (Ubuntu bash on Windows)?

Thanks!
