Hi all, Just resubscribed to the list and wanted to give a brief introduction.
I've been slinging bits and bytes for a while now. Professional experience includes Fortran, C, Business Basic, Object Pascal, C++ and C#, plus a variety of other languages on an experimental basis. I've been dipping my toe into the Sword waters off and on for the last 15 years but never really got much traction. Over this last Christmas break, I tried again and found the FlatAPI and C# bindings. Not sure If those are new since the last time I looked or I just never saw them before, but they've given me enough of a toe hold to make some good progress on a desktop app these last couple weeks. While working on my project, I found a crash that occurred on certain dictionary entries where one of the filters was trying to dereference NULL+1 for sync tags. I do have a fix for it. Given my limited knowledge of the library code overall, I'm not sure it's the best fix, but it does seem to work for my use case. I was going to submit a patch and wanted to confirm the preferred way of doing this is to post to this list with an attached diff. Is that correct? I searched for information about this process but didn't find anything specific; just kind of read between the lines. If there is a resource/FAQ I can review, please point me to it and I'd be happy to try to conform to what's wanted. Peace and blessings, Harley _______________________________________________ sword-devel mailing list [email protected] https://crosswire.org/mailman/listinfo/sword-devel
