So, have you all thought much about creating a structured (or
semantic[1]) extension to sycamore? I've been slowly adding things like
restaurants and neighborhoods to the Sacramento wiki and I've noticed a
need for an extension to the current template tools offered. Take, for
example, a restaurant template. You could have fields for address,
phone, fax, hours, type of food served, alcoholic drinks served, price
range, etc. All of these things are common to restaurants. Currently
I've just been placing them in a html table with little or no semantic
structure. If I could place this info directly in database fields that
work would be so much more useful. Of course adding something like this
to an existing wiki would involve a ton of work, but in the case of
Sacramento we are just getting started and it would be much easier to
adopt a semantic wiki now.

As far as what makes up the structure of a "restaurant" that would need
to be user editable also. There are other proof-of-concept semantic
wiki's[2,3] out there but it'd be nice to see it at the local wiki level.

Just thinking out loud.
