Greetings all,

This Monday, October 22, in the philosophy common
room, 1.00-2.30 we have Farid Masrour (U Arizona) to
talk to us on "Perception, Unity and Reasons"

"This talk outlines and defends a neo-Kantian account
of perceptual experience. According to this account,
some of the fundamental cognitive capacities that are
operative in thinking are also involved in perceiving.
In particular, it holds that perceptual experience has
a unity structure, and that this structure involves
the use of compositional capacities that are also
operative in thinking. I argue that with some
plausible assumptions the account yields a
non-orthodox version of conceptualism. "

See you there,
