Philosophy of Religion Research Seminar, University of Sydney 2008 Series - Which Philosophy of Religion?
We are pleased to announce the 2008 series of the Philosophy of Religion Research Seminar at the University of Sydney. The Philosophy of Religion Research Seminar is a series of monthly presentation of research papers by outstanding scholars. As part of the theme 'The Relation of Philosophy to Religion Today' the seminar explores religion in its relation to society, ethics, culture and politics in the contemporary world. The format is a forty-five minutes talk followed by a short response and discussion. The seminar will be held 4:30 ? 6:00 on the last Friday of each month (except where noted). The series is open to all: Honours and Postgraduate students in philosophy and outside of philosophy as well as interested postgraduates from the other universities in the Sydney region are welcome to attend. Postgraduate students are encouraged to contribute a response. Seminars are advertised regularly by email on the SydPhil and the Aphil mailing lists. The program will be available soon on the website of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Sydney (http://www.arts.usyd.edu.au/departs/philos/news/index.shtml).
