*Philosophy and the Real World* 15th to 17th April 2009 Australasian Postgraduate Philosophy Conference.
Macquarie University and ANU are jointly organizing the 2009 APPC. This year's conference seeks to bring together researchers in philosophy and other disciplines interested in the intersection between philosophy and contemporary issues, such as science, technology and current social and political debates. With such rapid change taking place in the world over the last quarter century, the "traditional" fields of philosophy must engage with other disciplines, for example, biology and multimedia technologies in order to address those issues which concern us all. Attendance is FREE. If you wish to attend register at: http://www.phil.mq.edu.au/appc/ Keynotes: *Wednesday, April 15th 9.30-11.00 X5B T1 Ass. Prof. Jeanette Kennett: Just say no?
