National Human Rights Consultation Update – 19 May 09

Hi Everyone
Welcome to the National Human Rights Consultation News.
· Online Consultation launch today!
The Committee are now hosting a National Human Rights Online Consultation.
This is an online forum to spur on the national debate over the three key
questions:
1. Which human rights and responsibilities should be protected and
promoted?
2. Are human rights sufficiently protected and promoted?
3. How could Australia better protect and promote human rights?

We also have a fourth question to discuss “Should Australia have a Bill or a
Charter of Rights?”
The online consultation is an opportunity to share your views on the
protection and promotion of human rights and responsibilities in an interactive
public discussion. You are able to read and reply to comments posted online in
real time. Log on now at: www.openforum.com.au/NHROC.
