Dear All
The reminder notices for University of Sydney Philosophy Research
Seminars (the Wendesday series) and the Current Projects Seminars (the
Monday series) are now being automatically served to the SydPhil list
from the calendar viewable at The Usyd Seminars Blog. I hope this will
improve reliability over the home-brew automation I was using before.
What this means to you, the subscriber is that the sender of the
notices that arrive in your email with be Google Calendars (which
provides the underlying technology).
So if you have been used to waiting with bated breath for mail that
appears to be from me, or from Kristie Miller, keep an eye out for
mail from Google Calendars.
One thing to note is that the messages from Google have a notice at
the end saying that you can subscribe or usubscribe to each calendar
series at an address that it provides.
Actually you CANNOT do this due to the way it is set up to serve to
Sydphil.
You can only subscribe or unsubscribe, as before, to the SydPhil list
as a whole.
To do this go to The Sydphil Page
Other University of Sydney philosophy seminars and conferences that
are viewable at the Usyd Seminars blog will still have notices sent
manually, though this may change soon.
