Rethinking Mind & Cosmos 19th and 20th November 2009
Contemporary debates in analytic philosophy are rich and varied. The distinction, and the relationship, between the mind and the world is integral to many of these debates, as too is the methodology utilised in this discourse. This conference focuses on these debates with an aim to explore some of the key and emerging ideas in the analytic tradition. We invite a second call to interested graduate students working on contemporary issues in the philosophy of mind, metaphysics, philosophy of science and philosophy of language to submit an abstract of no more than 300 words to [email protected] with the subject heading 'Conference Submission' by the 18th of September 2009. The format for the presentations will be 50-minute talks followed by 10-minute commentaries and 30-minute discussion time. Some funding will be made available to successful applicants, though it is encouraged that you seek funding in the first place from your home institution. Registration for the conference will be free and will open shortly. Any enquiries to Pete Evans [email protected].
