pleased to present

'Foucault on Neoliberalism': a seminar and workshop with Dr Miguel de Beistegui 
(Warwick University)

Date: Thursday December 3, 11am-1pm; workshop 2.30-3.30pm
Venue: Macquarie University, Building W6A, room 107. 

There will be an informal workshop discussion with Dr de Beistegui in the 
afternoon, starting at 2.30pm in the same room (postgraduates are particularly 
welcome). A relevant text will be circulated beforehand for interested parties.

Dr de Beistegui is a leading researcher in Continental/European philosophy 
(particularly Heidegger and Deleuze), political philosophy, and aesthetics. His 
work combines ethical, political, and aesthetic perspectives on contemporary 
thought, practices, and agency. He is the author of numerous books, including 
Heidegger and the Political: Dystopias (Routledge, 1998), Philosophy and 
Tragedy (ed. with Simon Sparks) (Routledge, 2000), Thinking with Heidegger: 
Displacements (Indiana University Press, 2003), Truth and Genesis: Philosophy 
as Differential Ontology (Indiana University Press, 2004), The New Heidegger 
(Continuum, 2005), L'immagine di quel pensiero: Deleuze filosofo dell'immanenza 
(Mimesis, 2006), Jouissance de Proust: Pour une esthetique de la metaphore 
(encre marine, 2007)
