Greetings all
Philo Agora's session next Tuesday, April 13 ,
will be our first use of the methods of the
Philo Cafes of Paris . Originating at the "Café
des Phares" at the Place de la Bastille (we are
told) and now spread to dozens and dozens of
cafes throughout France and the rest of the world
, each person brings to the cafe the topic they
want to discuss, and several quick sentences on
why they think it important. We all decide which
topic(s) . The only regular feature is that our
involvement of everybody in the discussion will still apply
This approach has been long in the planning, It
has finally reached fruition with our scheduled
speaker next Tuesday, Lindsay Mell, being confined to bed with the flu
Tuesday April 13 at the Fair Trade Coffee
House, 33 Glebe Point Road, Glebe. The pricing
system has changed also The entrance fee is
$3.00 (which we pay to the cafe) Start at 7.30.
Finish at 9.00pm. If you want a meal, come early. Coffee is $3.50, Tea $3.00
