Abstract: I develop an account of inferential knowledge and
inferential belief with a view to defending a "dogmatist" response to
skepticism about inference. Along the way, I argue that inference is
not a causal process, and that evidential knowledge (knowledge of what
follows from what) plays a constitutive role in inference._______________________________________________
