The politics of engagement: An indigenous perspective Traversing western and indigenous organizational forms poses complex communicative challenges for those charged with public engagement. Judy Motion is Professor of Communication in the School of English, Media and Performing Arts and an Associate of the Journalism and Media Research Centre. Professor Motion’s research areas include public relations, promotional communication and discourse, public policy and social innovation.
