Blanchot, Writing and the Politico-Religious

The talk focuses on three short essays concerning the Indian context by the
French writer and critic Maurice Blanchot written between 1931 and 1943. The
attempt is to understand Blanchot's criticism of a certain favourable reception
of the Indian religion/s in Europe during the period, as well as his transition
from an orientation in religion to one that is centred in literature.
