We Back at the Gaelic Club.

In his Encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis, Pope Pius X famously declared that "modernism is the synthesis of all heresies". In particular, he targeted modernist theses of relativism, agnosticism and rationalism as heretical. In this paper I suggest what Pius X would have said (or ought to have said) if he had witnessed the rise of post-modernism (both in theology and in philosophy). I outline some key post-modern theses and condemn post-modernism as a heresy (in the secular sense) and unworthy of serious philosophical attention.
