The Workgroup on Recognition will focus this semester on the fate and future of philosophical anthropology, as a discipline, and as foundation for critical social philosophy.
The first meeting is next Tuesday, March 15, 1-3pm at Macquarie University, Department of Philosophy, most likely in room W6A 707 (or else there will be a note on the door saying where). The text to be discussed is Axel Honneth & Hans Joas: Social Action and Human Nature (Cambridge UP, 1988), Introduction and Chapter 1(pp. 1-40). If you do not have access to the text, let me know and I’ll forward it to you. All interested are warmly welcome!
