The Workgroup on Recognition will focus this semester on the fate and future
of philosophical anthropology, as a discipline, and as foundation for
critical social philosophy.
The next meeting: Tuesday, May 10, 11am-1pm, at Macquarie University,
Department of Philosophy, C8A311 (in the Lincoln building).

The text to be discussed is Martha Nussbaum's 'Human Functioning and Social
Justice: In Defense of Aristotelian Essentialism', Political Theory, Vol.
20, No. 2 (May, 1992), pp. 202-246 (attached).
