Cheers, John ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Dean of Human Sciences <[email protected]> Date: Tue, Oct 23, 2012 at 1:42 PM Subject: Human Sciences Perspectives series: Scaffolding Memory Across the Lifespan Dear Colleagues, I would like to announce an open workshop to be held at Macquarie University on the 28th and 29th of November 2012, as part of the Human Sciences Perspectives series. The theme of this workshop will be "Scaffolding Memory Across the Lifespan", and will include presentations from researchers in Cognitive Science, Psychology, and Education. In addition to the local speakers, three international keynote speakers have also been confirmed: Suparna Rajaram (Stony Brook), Elaine Reese (Otago) and Donna Addis (Auckland). Topics will include scaffolding and memory development in children, shared memory performance in teams and work groups, scaffolding memory in old age, and the development of shared delusions as an example of "scaffolding gone wrong". A panel discussion session on developing and integrating methodologies for investigating our questions of interest will also be held. Further details, a full program, and online registration are available here: http://www.ccd.edu.au/events/conferences/2012/scaffoldingmemory/index.html. Registration is free, but places are strictly limited so register early to avoid missing out. Please don't hesitate to contact Celia Harris ([email protected]) if you have any questions. -- Professor John Sutton Department of Cognitive Science (http://www.maccs.mq.edu.au/) Macquarie University, Sydney, NSW 2109, Australia Phone: +61 (0)2 9850 4132 Email: [email protected] URL: http://www.johnsutton.net/ Memory Studies journal: http://mss.sagepub.com/ _______________________________________________ SydPhil mailing list: http://bit.ly/sydphil New archive: http://bit.ly/SydPhilArchive To UNSUBSCRIBE, change your MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS, find ANSWERS TO COMMON PROBLEMS, or visit our ONLINE ARCHIVES, please go to the LIST INFORMATION PAGE: http://bit.ly/sydphil ... and if you can't get to that page, try the EMERGENCY PAGE: http://bit.ly/SydPhilEmergency
