Dear all, This coming Monday's current projects will be Peter Bowden talking to us about:
Applied Ethics: Strengthening Ethical Practices, sponsored by the Australian Association for Professional and Applied Ethics (AAPAE) addresses the hands-on practicalities of ethical behaviour. The contributors – over 20 teachers, practitioners and consultants in ethics from across 14 different disciplines ,members and affiliates of AAPAE - believe that ethical practices in our institutions—and throughout society at large—can be strengthened through education, and through an improved understanding of the many approaches to the practical handling of ethical concerns This book is aimed at students in ethics courses across the range of disciplines covered by universities, colleges and trade schools. It would also be of value to trainers, consultants and ethics officers in the workforce. http://www.tup.net.au/publications-new/Applied_Ethics.aspx As usual, papers are in the philosophy common room at USyd at 1.00.
