Secularism has been limited is [sic] the principle of separation of
government institutions, and the persons mandated to represent the State,
from religious institutions and religious dignitaries. However, the basis of
government policy has more often than not been based on economic interests
as well. This talk aims to extend the principles of secularism to the
separation of government, policy and regulation from organizations and
institutions upholding the vested interests of its members over the rest of
society.
