Hi all, Apologies for cross-posting.
This is a final reminder for BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making's Collection in Ethical Issues in the application of artificial intelligence to health and medicine. This Collection aims to explore these complex issues, fostering a deeper understanding of how AI can be ethically applied in medical contexts. Continued research in this area has the potential to yield innovative guidelines and policies that govern the ethical use of AI technologies in healthcare. This research trajectory may pave the way for a future where AI supports clinical decision-making in a transparent, accountable manner, aligned with the values of modern medicine. This Collection invites research on how to address ethical issues arising from the application of artificial intelligence in health and medicine. We seek contributions that explore the relation between the use of AI in medicine and medical decision-making, transparency, patient rights, and potential bias. By addressing such ethics-relevant considerations,we aim to facilitate the development of guidelines and technical advancements that ensure the responsible integration of AI technologies into clinical practice.
