In her book, Dr MacKay develops a new account of virtue ethics for public health and political institutions. She examines how institutions such as public health bodies can be understood as moral agents, and explores the role of political virtues including justice, civic friendship and epistemic humility in shaping a good society. The launch will be held in person on Thursday 12 March 2026, featuring comments and discussion with Prof. Liezl Van Zyl, University of Waikato, and Dr. Tristan Bradshaw, University of Wollongong.
