Sydney Health Ethics is proud to host the launch of Dr Kathryn 
MacKay’s<https://t.e2ma.net/click/b1iwwt/zzp74o8/7lw92pp> new book, Public 
Health Virtue Ethics: Institutions, Structures, and Political Virtue for the 
Good Society. In her book, Dr MacKay develops a new account of virtue ethics 
for public health and political institutions. She examines how institutions 
such as public health bodies can be understood as moral agents, and explores 
the role of political virtues including justice, civic friendship and epistemic 
humility in shaping a good society.
The launch will be held in person on Thursday 12 March 2026, featuring comments 
and discussion with Prof. Liezl Van Zyl, University of Waikato, and Dr. Tristan 
Bradshaw, University of Wollongong.
