It's actually in Dieter's post: They want the - long asked for - plugin support and an easier cross platform development. I don't know enough about programming languages (their specifics that is) to verify or falsify these claims. Since RITLabs has some really good programmers I believe them. There are other news that distraught me a bit more - not so much Stefan's moving to Canada and Great Britain (he will be available by Net). But the marketing schemes as lain out by the posting are not very promising, neither for old time users nor for creating a new audience nor for investment. If the new v2 is actually a "Lite" version that has to be paid for, many old users won't follow. And since some functionality will be missing (although I don't at the moment know which one) potential users will be waiting for the "Professional" version, which seems to be in the realm of many a good application. A realm known as "Nice-Idea-Perfect-Programme-Limbo-Land". Hopefully all this is just because RITLabs is not quite sure how to gho on technically and in marketing. -- Dierk Haasis http://www.Write4U.de http://Interest.Write4U.de/pongo PGP keys available: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?Subject=SendMyPGPkeys The Bat 1.61 on Windows 95 4.0 1212 C Second Marriage: Another instance of the triumph of hope over experience.
