Your question is a little open ended - so I'll give an open ended answer of.. 'maybe' :) I think the changes we are talking about took place in sf1.1 though - so I'm not sure. Either way, if it is your problem , I believe you'll see your route being maching BEFORE you see your routes being connected in the debug toolbar/logs.
