Hi all,
From what I understand, plugins will be replaced in Symfony 2.0 with
bundles. Take for example, the following two bundles:
* WidgetABundle: adds the functionality to add Widget A to your
Symfony project.
* DoctrineWidgetABundle: adds Doctrine integration for WidgetABundle
Now, is it/would it be possible to nest the bundles in such a way that
you could 'install' DoctrineWidgetABundle and it would 'install' any
dependencies (WidgetABundle) automatically?
You cannot nest bundles. But the installer will resolve dependencies
automatically.
Just to understand things right: Wouldn't it be possible to add some
logic to MyAppKernel->registerBundleDirs() to allow nested bundles for
example in a vendor dir in a bundle?
What do you mean by "nested"? You can register any number of directories
where to look for plugins, even if they are nested of course.
