Hi, you have to create a mapping file before: a schema.yml or .xml for example.
try to run "php hello/console help doctrine:generate:entities" and you will see the HELP of this command. Try using "doctrine:mapping:import" to generate a schema.yml file from an exisitng database, an then run "doctrine:generate:entities" Hope it helps! Florian.
