I needed to test something quickly today so thought I'd use the SE with vendors download. However when I set it up I was getting errors in the web based configuration. After a little while of pondering and deleting things I thought maybe I had corrupted my download or something. To confirm I picked the ZIP version with vendors. This time it worked perfectly.
I've downloaded the tgz version a couple of times now using different browsers and set it up in the same way as the ZIP and the web based config just won't work.
