Your idea is some kind of ingenious.

But as long as I know the idea of using the controller as a service is to 
avoid the "bad practice" of injecting the container itself, and using the 
Util class just move the bad practice to another class. So I don't see any 
benefit of using this method against the base-class practice.

Maybe I am missing something.
