sure .. but you have a misunderstanding of what the base Controller class is 
about.
its there to ease development by providing methods for common tasks. its not 
about giving you auto completed access for every possible service, because that 
would be impossible since any Bundle can add new ones. so think of the provided 
methods as convenience methods .. if you think something is missing because of 
your use cases, then add them.

semi related: personally i dont use the base Controller .. ever .. and i do not 
inject the DIC into controllers either:
