I am running into some problems on OS X with running propel-build-all

I get the following output:

propel > om-template:
[propel-om] Target database type: mysql
[propel-om] Target package: lib.model
[propel-om] Using template path: /usr/local/php5/lib/php/symfony/
vendor/propel-generator/templates
[propel-om] Output directory: /Users/keith/Sites/recipe
[propel-om] Processing: generated-schema.xml
Bus error

For some reason no matter what I try when Propel gets to the generated-
schema.xml it fails when either building the sql or the model.

I can, however successfully complete a propel-insert-sql command.

I tried the solution on the forums to set the environment variable for
php.ini so propel would know where to look. I've upped the memory
limit in my php.ini to 128M.

I'm totally lost at why this is failing. On my windows machine I've
never run into this problem. Just on the OS X machine. Is there
some ./configure command I need to include? I don't get any errors in
the console prior to this particular problem.

Any thoughts?
