Actually I'm trying to play around a bit with this plugin. I didn't change anything right now. No, I don't use sfGuardUserProfile. I just installed the sfGuardPlugin and followed the setup-instructions. Now I recognise that I'm able to login, to secure either on app or on module level, but that this login doesn't last.
When I do an login everything is fine, I can access to secured module and the $sf_user->getGuardUser()-Object is populated with the default entries from the database. I do not change anything, reload the page and the information in the GuardUser-Object is gone. The effect is that I can no more access the secured module even if isAuthenticated () returns still true. Is there anything I am not aware of that I must customize? It's all kind of default.
